Laverne Cox “Shocked” After Transphobic Attack in L.A. Park

Laverne Cox has dropped out of a documentary about intercourse staff following public backlash to the challenge. 

Director Sarah Jones introduced on Jan. 5 she can be working with govt producers Meryl Streep, Rashida Jones and Cox on the movie adaptation of her off-Broadway present, Sell/Buy/Date. In 2016, Jones performed a number of characters impressed by actual folks throughout her one-woman present in regards to the intercourse business. 

However, a number of social media customers criticized Jones, a Tony Award winner, for probably contributing to the stigma round intercourse work.

One individual wrote, “Just what the world needs. Another movie where non SWers debate whether sex work is exploitative or empowering.” The Twitter person then tagged Cox and mentioned, “this project is everything you’re supposedly against. Another wrote, “As a sex worker– I get being misrepresented. I mean– people in Hollywood are still doing SWer documentaries without talking to actual sexworkers.”
